Home › Glossary › What is an emote?
Emotes are small images usable in chat, often unlocked by subscribing to a channel.
Regulars communicate in emotes faster than in words, and a channel's emote set becomes a shared language that signals belonging.
An emote is displayed tiny. Detailed artwork turns to mush, which is why the ones that get used are simple and high contrast.
