SMT divergence doesn't determine which asset to trade; model presentation quality does.

It's not just a automatic asset selection answer being like, well, the one that made the higher low is stronger, therefore, that's the one that I need to long. So now the question is, how do you pick which one to trade? You might think, okay, well, Bitcoin made a higher high before breaking down, and ETH didn't. So you have an S&T divergence here. Now, the argument could be made, well, I'm gonna short Bitcoin because it got the sweep, which means I know my stop loss can go there. It's a lot cleaner. The argument could be made here that on ETH, it never even made the higher high, so this is potentially weaker. It didn't have the buying demand to send it up above that high. Maybe this is gonna sell off harder when the market reverses. Both things can be true.
