Home › Glossary › What is a hate raid?
A hate raid is an organised attack in which many accounts, often automated, flood a chat with abuse at once.
The volume is the weapon. Individual timeouts cannot keep pace, which is why chat-wide restrictions are the response that actually works.
Knowing where the restriction settings are, and having a moderator who is not you, decides how an attack goes far more than anything done during it.
