Accounting internship was data entry at $33k salary; manager's job offer terrified 22-year-old interviewer into rejection.

You're getting mad. And it was kind of the same thing, man. Like I just like, you know, the people I was working with, like I didn't relate to them Friday. Hey guys, like, does anyone want to go like get a beer and like hang out and like, no, what do you mean? No, like it's, we just slaved away all week. Like let's go, you know, let's go let loose a little bit. And I had a moment kind of similar to you where my manager who at the time was maybe like in his mid 40s. And I'm 22 is like, you know, your smart guy, if you work hard, right? Keep your head down. Like this job, like his job, this job could be yours before you know it. And I just remember thinking like, if I have your job in 20 years, I'm blowing my shit smooth off like there's no way.
